COVID-19 Update #1

Hello to our current and future patients! This message is the first in a series to help keep you updated on the latest information regarding how the COVID-19 pandemic has temporarily changed our office operations. For tips on how to stay healthy, check out this article!

  • We are open for your orthopaedic healthcare needs. If you have an urgent problem, we are more than happy to see you in the office. We are taking every precaution to provide the appropriate guidance and protection for our patients and staff if you require face-to-face care.

  • We have bolstered our cleaning/sterilization processes in accordance with recent coronavirus guidelines to help keep you and our staff team members safe.

  • We are limiting traffic in the office by adjusting our staff team member and physician schedules. Many have agreed to work off hours and even weekends in order to help keep everyone more safe. Patient traffic is also limited as much as possible. We are observing social distancing in the waiting rooms, keeping them sparse by rooming patients ASAP and offering patients telehealth visits where appropriate. We are also encouraging only absolutely essential patient visitors or family members to come with patients to their appointments. If possible, these visitors are encouraged to stay in the car or waiting room during the patient's visit.

  • We are screening ALL patients and staff team members who enter our office doors by following guidelines from the major health organizations.

  • Physicians are personally screening every patient on their schedule, and often calling the patient to see if the appointment can be handled over the phone or via telehealth (live video encounters that can be done from any location).

  • All elective (non-urgent) surgeries are being postponed until further notice. This measure was taken in accordance with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), American College of Surgeons (ACS), and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). If your surgery has been cancelled, and you’re wondering what treatment measures can be done in the meantime, check out this article.

  • If you have questions about your appointment, please call us at 414-332-6262.
